- President Ram Nath Kovind released the mobile app of the Red Cross Society of India in Hyderabad, Telangana. The app is developed by the Telangana Centre for Good Governance in less than 3 months.
- Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Mansukh Mandaviya will join WEF’s 50th meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
- India celebrates National Farmers Day on 23rd December to commemorate the birth anniversary of 5th Prime Minister of India – Choudhary Charan Singh.
- External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar met with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif for the 19th India-Iran joint commission in Tehran & agreed to accelerate Chabahar port development.
- Prakasam district police of Andhra Pradesh have launched ‘Abhay’- a pilot emergency drop-home service for stranded women.

- The UAE Federal export credit company, Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Export Credit Guarantee Agency of Oman to enhance Trade and economic cooperation.
- President Miguel Diaz-Chanel has appointed Manuel Marrero Cruz as the Cuba’s 1st PM in more than 40 years. Cruz previously served as tourism minister for 16 years.
- The USA officially launched a new military service called ‘Special Force’ to protect the country’s communication and surveillance satellites.

- India’s shuttler Maisnam Meiraba Luwang has won the Men’s single Bangladesh Junior International badminton Series 2019 in Dhaka. Meiraba hails from Manipur.
- Pro Tennis League – Ramkumar Ramanathan was in robust form as he won his singles and doubles. dropping two games in all, to power Proveri Supersmashers into the final with a 30-15 victory over DMG Delhi crusaders.
