• Renowned Hindi Author Ganga Prasad Vimal died in a road accident in Sri Lanka. He wrote more than a dozen poetry collections, short story collections and novels.
• PM Modi named Rohtang passageway in Himachal Pradesh as Atal tunnel to mark the 95th birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
• Ashok Leyland has inked a pact with Yes Bank for vehicle finance for a period of 2 years. It will help the company design customized financial solution, and the pan-India reach will help chose the financial solution they desire.
• NITI Ayog will launch the second edition of Sustainable development Goals (SDG) India Index and Dashboard 2019-20 on 30 Dec 2019. The first edition of SDG was launched in December 2018.
• Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat felicitated Major Anoop Mishra with prestigious Army Design Bureau (ADB) Excellence Award for indigenously developing ‘Sarvatra Kavach’ – a bulletproof jacket that can provide protection against various ammunition.
• The 11th National Street Food Festival organized by National Association of Street Vendors in India (NASVI) and food regulator FSSAI is going on in Delhi (25-29 Dec 2019)

• Saudi Arabia & Kuwait signed an agreement to resume pumping at 2 major oilfields in a shared neutral zone shut for five years due to bilateral disagreement.

• Ellyse Perry from Australia is the only female cricketer in the ‘Wisden Cricketer of the Decade’ list.
