IBPS AFO Selection Process 2024 – All Stages
A candidate will have to go through three stages to get the final selection. Check out the details of all three stages below:
1. Preliminary Examination
The first stage is the Preliminary Examination, which serves as a screening test. It typically consists of objective-type questions assessing candidates’ proficiency in English, reasoning, and quantitative aptitude. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks to proceed to the next stage.
2. Main Examination
The Main Examination is the second stage, and it delves deeper into the candidate’s knowledge of agriculture and related subjects. The paper includes questions, testing candidates on topics such as professional knowledge, agriculture, rural development, and current affairs. Aspirants need to excel in this stage to advance further.
3. Interview
The final stage is the Interview, where candidates face a panel of experts who evaluate their communication skills, subject knowledge, and overall suitability for the Agricultural Field Officer role. It is crucial for candidates to prepare thoroughly, stay updated on agricultural trends, and present themselves confidently during the interview. The interview will be conducted for a total of 100 marks.
IBPS AFO Selection Process 2024 – Final Selection
The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of total scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Main Examination and Interview. Candidates securing the highest marks in the merit list are offered the prestigious position of Agricultural Field Officer in various participating banks. The weightage (ratio) of Online Main
Examination and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
IBPS AFO Exam Pattern
IBPS AFO Exam Pattern is similar to other exams. There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests (Both Prelims & Mains). For each question, a wrong answer has been given one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

The IBPS AFO Prelims Exam Pattern 2024 is given in the table below. The medium of language will be English & Hindi except for English language.

IBPS AFO Selection Process 2024 FAQs

As mains exam consist of professional knowledge, so the questions will be from Agriculture subject.
