The ICAR IARI Assistant Exam selection process consists of 3 stages.
- Prelims (Online Exam)
- Mains {Divided into Paper 1 (Online Exam) & Paper 2 (Offline Exam)}
- Skill test (Computer Proficiency Test)

- Negative Marking – 1/3rd
- Duration – 1 Hour (1 Hour 20 Minutes for Scribe Candidates)

The exam pattern of the ICAR IARI Assistant Mains Exam is as follows :
- Negative Marking – 1/3rd

ICAR IARI Assistant Exam Pattern 2024 – Skill Test
- The Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) will be held, comprising of three modules: (i) Word Processing, (ii) Spread Sheet and (iii) Generation of Slides.
- Duration of each module will be 15 minutes. These modules will be conducted one after the other.
- CPT is qualifying in nature and qualifying in all the three Modules will be mandatory.
