Reasoning

The overall difficulty of the Reasoning Section was Easy-Moderate. Questions were doable but time-consuming.
Minimum qualifying marks: 18 (For SC/ST – 16)
Questions were asked from the following topics:

1. Puzzles & Seating Arrangement- 22 questions (Box & Day based; Linear, Circular-In/Out)
2. Syllogism- 5 questions
3. Inequalities- 4 questions
4. Blood Relation- 3 questions
5. Coding-Decoding- 1 questions

Quantitative Aptitude

Overall difficulty of this section was of Moderate level. Minimum qualifying marks: 18 (For SC/ST – 16)
Questions were asked from the following topics :-

1. Data Interpretations- 3 sets, 15 Questions (Pie Chart – 5, Bar Graph – 5, Caselet – 5)
2. Quadratic Equation – 5 Questions
3. Missing Number Series- 5
4. Miscellaneous (Profit/Loss, Simple Interest/ Compound Interest, Mixture & Alligation, Time and Work, Ratio, Partnership, Percentage etc)- 10 questions

The overall difficulty level of English section was Easy. Please note, that this section was of qualifying nature, which means the marks in English section do not add up to the total marks.
Minimum qualifying marks: 10 (For SC/ST – 9)

Questions were asked from the following topics :-

1. Reading Comprehension (1 set- 8 questions)
2. Word/ Phrase Replacement (5 questions)
3. Fill in the Blanks – 5 questions
4. Parajumbles- 5 Questions
5. Identify Wrong Sentence- 3 Questions
6. Identify the Correct Usage of Words- 4 Questions

LIC AAO Exam Analysis – Prelims (Slot 1)

Note: There was no Negative Marking in the exam and English Section was of Qualifying Nature.
