4	Vanchinathan	Known for Killing Robert Ashe, the Tax Collector of Thirunelveli
5	Veerapandiya Kattabomman	Initiated the first-ever known revolt against the British Empire.
6	V.O. Chidambaram Pillai	His 150th birth anniversary was celebrated in 2021   He was known as Kappalottiya Tamilan and Sekkizuththa Semmal He established institutions such as Swadeshi Prachar Sabha, Dharmasanga Nesavu Salai, National Godown, Madras Agro-Industrial Society Ltd and Desabimana Sangam.   Writings include Meyyaram (1914), Meyyarivu (1915), Anthology (1915), Thirukural with literary notes of Manakudavar (1917), Tholkappiam with literary notes of Ilampooranar (1928), Autobiography (1946).
7.	Dheeran Chinnamalai	Chinnamalai engaged in guerrilla warfare and defeated the British in battles at Cauvery in 1801,  Odanilai Kangeyam in 1802 and Arachalur in 1804.
8.	Maruthu Pandiyar	Diarchal Kings of Sivagangai, Tamil Nadu   They founded guerilla war tactic in India during the early stages of colonization   They invented the Valari, a variant of the boomerang
