Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher or REET Exam is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Rajasthan. It is conducted to select eligible candidates for Grade III teachers. There are two levels in the REET exam pattern, first is Level I which is for recruitment of Primary class teachers that is from class 1st to 5th, and Level II is for the Upper Primary class teacher which is from class 6th to 8th. Eligibility Criteria

REET exam eligibility criteria include age limit and educational qualification, which are as follow:

Age Limit:

As per the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan there is no such limit given. So candidates of any age segment who fulfill educational criteria and is a citizen of India can apply for the exam. 

Educational Qualification:

For Level I ( Primary Teacher) 

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education passed or appearing in the final year (by whatever name known)
  • Passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in compliance with the NCTE (Recognition, Norms, and Procedure) Regulation, 2002, with at least 45 percent marks. 
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education programme (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% grades and a 2-year Diploma in Education passed or appearing in the final year (Special Education).
  • Graduation and a two-year diploma in Elementary Education (under whatever name known) completed successfully.

For Level II ( Upper Primary Teacher)

  • Graduation and a two-year diploma in Elementary Education (under whatever name it was called) passed.
  • B.Ed. passed or appearing in the last year of Bachelor in Education with at least 50% marks in either graduation or post-graduation.
  • Graduation with at least a 45 percent grade point average and completion of a one-year B.Ed. programme, as defined by the NCTE (Recognition, Norms, and Procedure) Regulations.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a four-year Bachelor’s degree programme in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Passed with 50% or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. 
  • Graduation or post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) passed or in the final year of B.Ed (Special Education)

Other Important Conditions:

  • Candidates should have a valid E-mail ID before applying.
  • Candidates should have a valid and active mobile number at the time of application.
  • Candidates should secure a minimum of 60% marks to get qualified for the test.

REET Application Process And Fees 2021

REET Application Process:

REET application is an online process. Following are the steps:

  1. Visit the official website.
  2. Under the “News Update” section there will be a link for online application, click on it.
  3. Click on “Register & generate fee challan for REET 2021” and enter all necessary details.
  4. After completion of registration, note down your username and password.
  5. Complete the application process by paying fees.
  6. Collect and preserve a print of the application form for future needs.
