SBI PO Handwritten Declaration: SBI has declared 1673 vacancies for the post of SBI Probationary Officer for the year 2022-23. As candidates are aware, they are required to upload necessary documents during the application process. This includes photograph, signature, left hand thumb impression and a handwritten declaration.

SBI PO Handwritten Declaration 2022 Format

A handwritten declaration is a statement by the candidate attesting that all the information provided by them is accurate and factual. This is a necessary step to validate any application form. Let us take a look at the format for the SBI PO handwritten declaration:

Please Note: The notification mentions this format. Make sure to not deviate from this standard format.

“I,______(Name of the candidate), Date of Birth ______hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph, and left thumb impression are of mine”.

Candidates should write the declaration in their own handwriting. Make sure each word is clear and legible because otherwise the application may be not go through.

For Visually Impaired Candidates

Visually impaired candidates who cannot write can submit a typed form of the declaration with their left hand thumb impression below it. In case the candidate does not have a left thumb, they can use their right hand thumb impression for the same.

The following is the format of the declaration to be submitted by the visually impaired candidates:

“I,______(Name of the candidate), Date of Birth ______hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph, and left thumb impression are of mine”.

Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of SBI PO Handwritten Declaration

The applicant has to write the declaration in English clearly on a white paper with black ink.

  • File type: jpg / jpeg
  • Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e. 10cm x 5 cm (Width x Height)
  • File size: 50 kb- 100 kb

Note : Signature/ Hand-written declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted.

Procedure of Scanning the Document :

  • Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch)
  • Set color to true color.
  • File size as specified above.
  • Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature/left thumb impression/ hand-written declaration, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above).
  • The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file name is: image01. jpg or image01.jpeg. You can check the image dimensions by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image icon.
  • Candidates using MS Windows/MSOffice can easily obtain documents in .jpeg format by using MS Paint or MSOffice Picture Manager.
  • You can save the scanned documents in any format in the .jpg format by using ‘Save As’ option in the File menu. Also, you can adjust the size by using the crop and resize option.

Procedure for Uploading the documents:

  • While filling in the Online Application Form the candidate will be provided with links to upload his/her photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration.
  • Click on the respective link “Upload Photograph/ Signature/ left thumb impression/ hand-written declaration”.
  • Browse and Select the location where the Scanned Photograph/ Signature/ left thumb impression/ hand-written declaration file has been saved.
  • Select the file by clicking on it. Click the ‘Open/Upload’ button.
  • If the file size and formats are not as prescribed, the system will display an error message.
  • Preview of the uploaded image will help to see the quality of the image. In case of unclear/ smudged, you may re-upload the same to the expected clarity/quality.
