SSC GD Constable Application Form
SSC has increased the vacancies for the post of GD Constable. However, the last date to apply for the SSC GD remains the same. Aspiring candidates should apply before the 30th of November as it is the last date to submit their application form.
- Vacancies have been increased which will lead to a higher number of applications, candidates could find it difficult to fill out forms. To avoid any kind of disturbance applies at least a day before the last date.
- Candidates should avoid any kind of mistakes while filling out the application form. As their form can get rejected because of the wrong or incomplete information.
- The application fee is Rs.100 for general and EWS category students. While SC/ST candidates don’t need to pay any application fee.
SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria
Candidates willing to apply for the post of GD constable must be aware of the required eligibility criteria. It is mandatory to fulfill all these criteria to be able to appear in the SSC GD Constable examination. We have mentioned below all the eligibility criteria to give you a better understanding.
Age Limit
Staff Selection Commission has set age criteria for all the candidates. The minimum age to apply for the post is 18 years and the maximum age is 23 years. Although, the commission has provided a relaxation in the upper age limit of the reserved categories. We have mentioned the table below of the upper age limit relaxation.

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern
A number of candidates appear in the GD constable examination every year. It is very important for the aspirants to understand the exam pattern in order to create an effective preparation strategy. Exam pattern is a very important part of any examination and helps candidates in their preparation. The SSC GD constable examination is conducted in three rounds. We have mentioned below the exam pattern for the SSC GD constable.
Computer Based Examinations
Tier I of the examination consists of computer-based examinations having objective-type questions. CBT has four sections and negative marking is also done in this round.

Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test
In the Physical Efficiency test, candidates have to perform physical activities like running, high jump, long jump, and discus throw. Candidates are judged on the basis of their performance in these activities. Shortlisted candidates further go for a physical standard test.
In Physical Standard Test, the height, weight, and chest size of the candidates are measured. Candidates fulfilling the measurement requirements are shortlisted and go for further procedures.

Medical Test
The last round of the examination consists of the medical test. In this, various medical tests of the candidates are done to check their physical fitness.
