Success Story of Digvijay Patil (Cleared SBI PO 2017, CRPF)

In his own words,

“I am Digvijay Patil.

I did my B.E.(mech) and was preparing for Civil Services Exam. I wrote 6 Main exams, appeared twice for IFS interview (where I missed final list by 7 marks). I also got selected as Assistant Commandant (DySP) in CRPF, but, appeared for SBI PO exam as I preferred this job over CRPF for some reasons.

I scored overall 54.85/100.

Strategy:

I had prepared very well for various competitive exams like scholarships, NTSE etc. during school days. I had also cleared LIC AAO in 2013 without any specific preparation. So, initially I thought I could easily clear SBI PO as well.

However, considering changed pattern of SBI PO exam and increasing competition, it is very difficult these days to clear any exam without specific efforts and strategy.

Therefore, I dedicated myself to SBI PO exam. I read Banking capsules 3 times which helped me fetch 28/40. The pattern of Reasoning and DI questions in SBI PO exam have changed from 2016. And Oliveboard helped me prepare to the desired difficulty level.

As a result, when most of the aspirants found exam quite difficult, I was confident of clearing at least the mains. Thanks to Oliveboard team for its quality mock tests.

For GD/PI:

One must prepare about their background, present job, why they chose SBI, justify gap after graduation (if any, as in my case) and good analysis of current affairs especially economy related (like should we have petrol in GST ambit)

Piece of advice:

No matter what is your academic background, very good or just average, you should underestimate neither the level of competition today nor yourself. You must sincerely practice for all the three stages. If you do that Success is yours.
