Success Story of Sree Ganeshan

Introduction

Hi Readers, My Name is Sree Ganeshan K. I am from Chennai,Tamil Nadu. I have cleared IBPS Clerk and got selected in Canara Bank.

Brief Description

I did My Graduation in ECE in 2018 and worked till August of 2019. Then I shifted towards competitive exams. Initially I was giving various exams Like SSC exams,CAT/MAT exams also. Till 2022 I have given around 50+ exams and in IBPS clerk this is my 3rd attempt and in Banking this was my 12th mains overall. So I have faced numerous failures. Still now I am happy that I have finally made it.

Preparation Strategy

i. General Awareness – I followed Studyiq Gaurav Sir Daily CAT videos. I found it useful because Sir always repeats information and it was easy to recollect. I also followed the TNA sessions which Aditya Sir Does on YouTube. Most of the news will be covered in this itself. I make sure I don’t spend a huge chunk of Time in the GA section because of the sudden change in question pattern.

ii. English – For the English section,I make sure to read the editorial given in the newspaper everyday. Also I give numerous quizzes in telegram groups(English For IBPS Tamil). In this way I did my learning in a more fun and enjoyable way. I also followed Harshita mam’s Grammar sessions. I found it useful because ma’am always brings good questions.

iii. Reasoning – My weakness in Banking is mains level reasoning. In prelims, I was able to score very good marks but I struggled in mains exams. I followed Nikita mam and CWJ Jackson sir and Used only Oliveboard Mocks for my preparation.

iv. Quantitative Aptitude – In my starting years of preparation I was weak in this section because I did not have interest in this subject and I was lacking in the concept also. Then to develop interest I started practicing in telegram groups,by providing solutions to doubt seekers.

This way I improved by concept and also developed shortcuts to solve a problem. I go by the name @tea_and_biscuits some aspirants here might know me!. I want to thank the Hard math Telegram group,it was where I learned most of the shortcuts.

Also, I referred to Lokesh Sharma sir from Oliveboard whose sessions I have never missed on YouTube. His level of teaching is always admirable. I scored 32.5/50 in this section and that helped me boost my overall score.

Role of Oliveboard

I only subscribed to Oliveboard mocks. The content and solution they provide is of high quality. Also before the day of exam I watch their marathon sessions. This helped me increase my speed. Am always thankful to Oliveboard for their unmatchable content.

Tips or advice for fellow aspirants

Something I want to say to all aspirants is to be consistent in your preparations and don’t be bogged down by failures. Always analyze the weak areas and spend more time on improving them. Also when preparing for one examination make sure you only prepare for that. Don’t jump from one type of examination to another. I made this mistake and changed from SSC to Banking and vice versa. And that cost me. Also make sure,you are surrounded by people who only bring positivity and encouragement into you. Only A happy mind Brings happy results. Enjoy the journey, don’t take it as a stress. Surely you will all succeed. All the best.
