The Staff Selection Commission held a computer-based exam called the Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-I) in 2023 from July 14th to July 27th.
Candidates were chosen for the Tier-II exam based on their scores in Tier-I. Different cutoffs were set for different job categories, such as Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer (List-1), Junior Statistical Officer (List-2), Statistical Investigator Grade-II (List-3), and all other positions (List-4).
Since Tier-I was held in multiple sessions, the scores of candidates were adjusted using a formula the Commission shared on its website on February 7, 2019. These adjusted scores determined who qualified for the next stage, Tier-II.
As stated in the exam notice, the minimum passing marks for Tier 1 were as follows:
a. For UR (General category): 30%
b. For OBC/EWS: 25%
c. For all other categories: 20%
