UPSC CMS Nationality/Citizenship

Only the applicant who satisfy the prescribed conditions of nationality/citizenship are permitted to participate in the examination.

1. A citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Nepal, or
3. A subject of Bhutan, or
4. A Tibetan refugee settled in India before January 1, 1962
5. A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma and East African countries like Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention to permanently settle in India.

• Candidates falling under categories (2), (3), (4), and (5) are required to possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
• Candidates who need a certificate of eligibility can participate in the examination, but they will receive the appointment offer only after obtaining the necessary eligibility certificate from the Government of India.

UPSC CMS Educational Qualification 2024

The UPSC CMS aspiring candidates must explore the educational qualification before applying for the exam: –

1. MBBS students who have completed both the written and practical parts of their final examination are eligible for UPSC CMS 2024 examination.
2. Proof of passing both exam parts is required before the closing date of the detailed application form for the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2024.
3. Candidates, whether they have appeared for or are yet to complete the final M.B.B.S. Examination, can apply.
4. The proof of passing must be dated earlier than the application deadline.
