The final nod for the payment aggregator license has come for Razorpay, Cashfree Payments, Open Financial, EnKash, Google Pay, and Payment India.

India Records 112 Deaths in 2022 from Tiger Attacks

The Centre informed that in 2022 a total of 112 deaths took place in the country due to tiger attacks. In a written reply to Lok Sabha, Union Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change Bhupinder Yadav informed that the highest number of deaths is 85 in Maharashtra followed by 11 in Uttar Pradesh. He said during the past five years 302 people died in tiger attacks.

Net FDI into India touches 21-month high at $5.9 billion in October

The net foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country at $5.9 billion rose to a 21-month high in October 2023, primarily due to strong gross inflows and lower repatriation.

Sequentially, net FDI rose from $1.54 billion in September 2023 and $1.16 billion in October 20222, according to Reserve Bank of India data.

The country’s total debt, or the total outstanding bonds that are being traded in the market, rose to USD 2.47 trillion (Rs 205 lakh crore) in the September quarter, according to a report.

The total debt amount in the March quarter of the previous fiscal was USD 2.34 trillion (Rs 200 lakh crore).

The government said the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) achieved a landmark of selling generic medicines worth Rs 1,000 crore this year.

A total savings of about Rs 5,000 crore was made by people who purchased medicines from the Jan Aushadhi Kendras, which are present in more than 785 districts across the country, an official release said.
