Introduction

Hi, My name is Sonish Hinduja. I’m from New Delhi. I’ve done B. COM(H) in the year 2018. Recently I qualified for the SSC CGL 2022.

Sonish Hinduja Preparation Journey

After completing my graduation I was confused between preparation for MBA and SSC CGL and then after analyzing what is best for me I decided to prepare for SSC CGL . I took one month to understand the concepts, syllabus and method to solve the questions. For this I took help from YouTube. Channels like Oliveboard provide free content on YouTube which would be useful for beginners.

My preparation after graduation was not consistent. Being a bright student since childhood I was overconfident of clearing SSC CGL. But when I failed in SSC CGL and SSC CHSL. I realized that failure makes you humble only. Every failure motivated me to work harder. After that I purchased the Oliveboard test series and used to practice mocks daily. First I used to get very less percentile. But I never lost hope and always analyzed the mocks diligently

Every failure motivated me to work harder and I used to analyze my weak areas and used to work on them. After that i appeared in SSC CPO ,cleared it and became sub inspector in CISF

I also qualified SSC CGL 2021 and became auditor in CGDA. and After that I qualified SSC CGL 2022 and became ASO in AFHQ. Now all the failures and hard work has paid off and soon I am going to join ASO in AFHQ

Subject Wise Preparation Strategy 

QA is synonymous with intensive & consistent practice. Without it, you will always find yourself lagging. What I did was first finish my syllabus and then supplemented it with all the TCS previous year questions after 2018 Along with sectional, topical and full-length mock tests

Reasoning 

For Reasoning, practicing previous year questions is sufficient. special attention should be given to the topics like odd one out, number series, statements and arguments, letter series and syllogism.

English 

It consists of three sections- Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading. Remembering grammar rules by heart, boosting your vocabulary & intensive reading would serve you well.

GK/GA

GA has been the most unpredictable section of SSC Examination. Be consistent and prepare for it from Any one source. I can’t stress the importance of Static GK and constant revision . If you don’t revise enough, you will pay dearly for it.

Typing Test / CPT 

Practicing typing online daily for 30 minutes for 2 months will be sufficient.
