SEBI IT Officer Notification 2025 Out
The SEBI Grade A IT selection process includes three phases: Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3. Phases 1 and 2 are further divided into two online papers each. This year, the SEBI Grade A Phase 2 Paper 2 IT exam pattern has been revised previously, a coding test of 210 minutes was conducted, but from this year onward, MCQs based on the IT stream will be asked for a total duration of 180 minutes. To be eligible for the SEBI IT Officer post, candidates must be a maximum of 30 years old and possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any branch or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
with a post graduate qualification (minimum two years’ duration) in computer science/

The candidate should not be older than 30 years as of 30th September 2025, which means they must have been born on or after 1st October 1995. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rules.

SEBI IT Officer Exam Pattern 2025

SEBI IT Officer Phase 1 Exam Pattern
The Phase 1 Exam will consist of two papers. Check the detailed pattern below:

- Phase I is the online screening examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each.
- The Paper 1 is for 100 marks to be attempted in 60 minutes and the cut off is 30%.
- For Paper 2, the maximum marks is 100, the duration is 40 minutes and the cut off is 40%.
- The aggregate cut off for both the papers will be 40%.
- Negative Marking: 1/4th for both papers in Phase 1.
- Marks secured in Phase 1 will not be counted in final selection.
SEBI IT Officer Phase 2 Exam Pattern
The Phase 2 Exam will consist of two papers for 100 marks each. Check the detailed pattern below:
- For Paper 1, the cut off is 30% and for Paper 2, the cut off is 40%. The aggregate cut off for both papers is 50%.
- The maximum marks for both papers is 100 marks each.
- The duration of paper 1 is 60 minutes whereas the duration of paper 2 is 210 minutes.

SEBI IT Officer Salary
The SEBI Grade A officers have a pay scale of ₹62,500 – 3,600 (4) – 76,900 – 4,050 (7) – 1,05,250 – EB – 4,050 (4) – 1,21,450 – 4,650 (1) – 1,26,100 over 17 years. At the minimum of this scale in Mumbai, the gross monthly salary including SEBI’s contribution to NPS and allowances is approximately ₹1,84,000 without accommodation and ₹1,43,000 with accommodation.
