Exams organized by IBPS

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a body that recruits officers and other staff members for all the public sector banks except the State Bank of India. IBPS has mandated qualifying the Common Written Examination or CWE to be recruited as a Probationary Officer or Clerk or Management Trainee in any of its 22 participating banks.

Here is a list of entrance exams organized by IBPS-

  1. IBPS PO Examination

Probationary Officer is a post that pays a hefty paycheck and comes with a significant amount of esteem and regard. If you want to become a PO, you will have to qualify the entrance exam which comprises 3 phases-

  1. IBPS Clerical Examination

IBPS Clerk exams are just as popular as the PO exams. This test has 2 phases-

  • Phase 1- the preliminary test (Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and English Language)
  • Phase 2- the mains test (Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General/Economic/Banking Awareness)

There is no interview in this entrance exam.

  1. IBPS Specialists Examination

This entrance exam hires IR officers, Rajbhasha Adhikari Officers, Law Officers, HR Officers, Agricultural Field Officers, and Marketing Officers.

Like the IBPS PO exam, this entrance exam to has 3 phases-

  • Phase 1- the preliminary test (Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and English Language)
  • Phase 2 or the mains will test the candidate on his/her Professional Knowledge
