The Staff Selection Commission conducts yearly examination to recruit thousands of candidates to the position of Lower Division Clerk. The entrance is a Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam that is held in two stages- Tier-I and Tier-II.

The first stage of SSC CHSL exam (Tier-I) is a computer-based objective test. Students are required to answer 100 questions in one hour.
