- Union minister Meenakshi Lekhi launches book on sacrifice of freedom fighters
Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture Meenakshi Lekhi launched a book in Gujarati commemorating the contributions of freedom fighters at a function in Ahmedabad.
The book, ‘Swadhinata Sangram Na Surviro’, celebrates 75 freedom fighters and shares the stories of the sacrifices made by them for the country. Book was launched by the Hindu Spiritual & Service Foundation in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
- ‘The Light We Carry’: Michelle Obama’s second book to hit stands in November
After the huge success of her acclaimed memoir ‘Becoming’ in 2018, former US first lady Michelle Obama has announced the release of her second book, ‘The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times’, later this year.
The book, scheduled to release on November 15, will be published by Penguin Random House simultaneously in 14 languages and 27 countries.
- ‘The Life and Times of George Fernandes’ by Rahul Ramagundam
‘The Life and Times of George Fernandes’, written by Rahul Ramagundam, was released under Penguin’s ‘Allen Lane’ imprint on July 25.
This ‘first comprehensive biography’ on the veteran socialist leader, widely considered an anti-Emergency hero, marks the 47th anniversary of the Emergency.
