Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty
Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty has assumed the role of Finance Director at the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), bringing with him over 25 years of experience in the Indian power sector. He is widely respected for his knowledge and expertise, and his appointment as IREDA’s Finance Director has received approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).

Before joining IREDA, Dr. Mohanty served as the Head of Department and Senior General Manager in Finance & Accounts at REC Limited. His distinguished career in the Indian power sector has been marked by significant contributions, and he has held key roles at GRIDCO (Grid Corporation of Odisha) and CESCO Distribution Company, gaining expertise across the entire power sector value chain.
Dr. Mohanty’s Diverse Academic Background
Dr. Mohanty possesses an array of academic qualifications, including Ph.D., M.Phil, M.Com, MA in Public Administration, and LL.B degrees, in addition to a postgraduate diploma in Management. He is also a distinguished fellow member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India and holds a Ph.D. in Commerce from KIIT, Bhubaneswar.
