FCI Manager 2024 Notification – Exam Pattern
For all the posts, there is a selection process consisting of an online test and interview. Further, online test will be divided into Phase 1 & Phase 2. The phase 1 will be common for all and Phase 2 will be divided into Paper 1, 2, 3 & 4. Check out detailed FCI Manager 2024 Pattern below:
FCI Manager Phase I Exam Pattern
The online test of Phase I shall be common irrespective of the post. The test structure for Phase I Online test is as follow:
- General Studies comprises of Indian History, Indian Economy, Geography & General Science up to Class 8th level -20 questions & Current Affairs -5 questions
- The medium of the exam is bilingual except for the test of English language.
- The total duration of the exam is 60 minutes. There is a sectional timing of 15 minutes for each subject.
- In the Phase I of online test, the test will be Objective type (Multiple Choice Questions).
- Each question will carry equal 1 (one) mark. For each wrong answer, there will be negative marking of one-fourth (1/4) of the mark assigned to that question.
- If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no negative marking for that question.
- The marks obtained in Phase I will not be taken for final merit ranking.

FCI Manager Phase II Exam Pattern
The Phase II is further divided according to the posts. Check out post-wise details.
- For Manager (General, Depot & Movement), only Paper 1 will be conducted.
- For Manager (Accounts, Technical, Civil & Electrical Mechanical Engg), both Paper 1 & Paper 2 will be conducted.
- For Manager (Hindi), both Paper 3 & Paper 4 will be conducted.
- There will be no negative marking in the phase II of the examination.

FCI Manager Salary
For the post of Manager (General/ Depot/ Movement/ Accounts/ Technical/ Civil Engineering/ Electrical Mechanical Engineering), candidates will be selected as Management Trainee and will undergo training for 6 months. Only consolidated stipend will be paid to them which is of of Rs. 40,000/- (Forty thousand only) per month during the training period. Management Trainees will be considered for absorption as Managers in the IDA Pay scale of Rs. 40000 – 140000 upon successful completion of training period of 6 months. However, there will be no training in case of Manager (Hindi) and they will be directly appointed as Manager in the IDA Pay scale of Rs. 40000 – 140000.
