Before applying for the SIDBI Grade A exam, candidates must upload their photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and hand-written declaration as per the specified guidelines.

SIDBI Grade A Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be either-
- a citizen of India or
- a subject of Nepal or
- a subject of Bhutan or
- a Tibetan refugee (who came over to India before 1st January 1962) with the intention of permanently settling in India; or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malwi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
SIDBI Grade A Notification – Age Criteria
The reference date for the calculation of the age limit is provided below.
- Candidates should be at least 21 years old and not more than 30 years old.
- Candidates born not earlier than 8th November 1994 and not later than 9th November 2003 [both days including] are only eligible to apply.

SIDBI Grade A Selection Process
The SIDBI Grade A Selection Process includes a detailed evaluation of candidates through multiple stages. This process aims to assess the overall skills, knowledge, and suitability of candidates for the post of Assistant Manager in Grade A.

The online test also has two parts i.e. an objective exam and a descriptive exam. The SIDBI Grade A Exam Pattern has 7 subjects for a total of 200 marks. Let us see the detailed SEBI Grade A Exam Pattern for each of these parts in detail.
Phase 1 Exam Pattern
The SIDBI Grade A Exam is an objective test with different sections. Each section has a set number of questions, marks, and time limits. The General Awareness section will mainly focus on Banking, Finance, Economics, and Social Issues. The detailed exam pattern for the SIDBI Grade A online test is as follows:
- Subjects: Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness.

- Exam Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes).

Phase 2 Exam Pattern
Candidates will be required to answer by typing on the computer. The following is the exam pattern of the descriptive test which will be followed by the objective test. It is essential to attempt all three questions. The total duration of the descriptive test will be 60 minutes.
- Scoring Format: In Paper II, some questions carry different marks (either 1 or 2 marks).
- Answer Mode: For descriptive questions, answers must be typed using a keyboard.
- Bilingual Option: Objective questions are available in both Hindi and English.
- Indicative Syllabus: Topics provided are not exhaustive but give a broad outline of what to expect in the exam.
