The Notification will be released on the official website of the recruiting board.  The Notification will contain the number of vacancies for the various posts of constable. Selection Process

The process of selection has the following stages. It is essential for a candidate to qualify in each stage to become eligible for selection. The stages of the process of selection are:

1. Physical Endurance Test (PET)
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
3. Written Examination

In the Physical Endurance Test, the physical ability and performance on various tests, such as running, are tested for the candidate.

In the Physical Measurement Test, the height, weight, etc., of the candidate is checked against a minimum criterion.

The Written Examination tests logic, general knowledge, mathematical ability, etc.

Exam Pattern

There is a pre-decided pattern and a minimum requirement for each of the four stages of the selection process.  While in the physical endurance test and the Physical Measurement Test, the criteria are different for the Male and Female candidates, they remain the same for the Male and Female candidates in the Written Test and Viva Voce.

At the time of the Physical Measurement Test, all candidates must bring their original documents for verification.

The Pattern Of The Written Examination

The Written Examination pattern for the Jammu and Kashmir Police Constable Selection process is as given below. 

• The Written Examination is an objective type exam based on OMR Sheets
• The Examination has multiple choice questions
• The Maximum Marks for the written Examination are 100 marks
• The Written Examination is for 120 minutes or 2 hours
• The level of the questions posed in the Written Examination will be of the 10^th standard Level.
