Ladakh Police Constable Application form: Overview, Eligibility Criteria

A notification has been published on 16th October 2021 by The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh, the Police Headquarters of Ladakh, regarding the Ladakh Police Constable- Executive, HG/CD/SDRF, Armed/IRP- recruitments 2021 for 213 vacancies and pay level-2 from Rs 19900 to Rs 63200.  Interested candidates can check the eligibility criteria and other recruitment details on the notification published and fill in the details of the Ladakh Police Constable Application Form online.

The last date for submitting the online Ladakh Police Constable Application Form for the position of Ladakh Police Constable shall be 30 days from the date of activation of the link. The candidates can fill the form on the official website. However, before filling up the application form and applying, the candidates should check if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Ladakh Police Constable  Eligibility Criteria

The detailed age limit, essential education qualification, physical standard, desired qualifications, mode of recruitment, quota and other terms and conditions are as follows-

Age Limit ( As of 01.01.2021)

• The minimum age limit required is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 28 years.
• Any candidates that are born before 01-01-1993 and after 31-12-2002 will not be eligible to apply.
• The upper age limit shall be 48 years for Ex-Servicemen. 
• The upper age limit shall be 37 years in case of serving Special Police Officers (SPO) and Voluntary Home Guards (VHG) with a continuous period of engagement of 3 years and 5 years respectively.

Essential Educational Qualification

• The candidate should have passed the 10th class from a recognized board of education. 
• Special Police Officers (SPO) serving with a continuous period of engagement of a minimum of 3 years should at least have passed 8th class from a recognized school.

Physical Standard

• Height :Female – Minimum 152 cms

           Male – Minimum 162 cms

• Chest (Male Only) :Un-expanded – Minimum 81 cms

           Expanded – Minimum 85 cms

Desired Qualifications 

• Proficiency in driving and possession of Light Motor Vehicle Driving Licence with (TRANS)
• A one-year certificate course in Computer Application from an AICTE recognized institution.

Incentives to National Cadet Corps (NCC) certificate holders

Incentives for National Cadet Corps (NCC) certificate holders are –

I.  Physical Measurement Test : 

Standards of physical measurement are as provided below:

Height Male         =  Minimum 162 cms

Height Female     = Minimum 152 cms

Chest (only for male candidates):

Unexpanded     = Minimum 81 cms

Expanded         = Minimum 85 cms

II. Physical Endurance Test (50 Marks):

• Long Race – 25 marks

-Male – 1600 meters 

-Female – 1000 meters

• Short Sprint -25 marks

III. Scrutiny Of Original Documents/ Testimonials :

Candidates who qualify for the physical measurement test and physical endurance test must submit their original documents/ testimonials for scrutiny along with self-attested photocopies of the documents /testimonials which will be verified by the concerned authority. 

IV.  Desired Qualification Test :

Candidates who qualify for the physical measurement test and physical endurance test and whose documents have been scrutinized and have claimed the below-desired qualification in their application form are eligible for the test.

1. Proficiency in driving and possession of Light Motor Vehicle Driving Licence with (TRANS)
2. A one-year certificate course in Computer Application from an AICTE recognized institution. 

For candidates possessing the desired qualification (a) above driving test shall be conducted as per the latest driving test guidelines.

For candidates possessing desired qualification (b) above written test and/ or practical exam will be conducted.

V. Written Examination (Objective Type)

• Candidates who have passed through the above four tests/ examinations will be eligible for the written examination of one objective type paper.
• Number of questions – 100
• Duration – 80 minutes 
• Mark per question – 01 Mark
• There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. 
• Mode of the answer – English only.
• The question paper will be of matriculation level

Other Important Information:

1. The candidates who have been selected will have to undergo the Basic Recruitment Training Course. 
2. The candidates will have to appear in the tests mentioned above at their own expense on the date and venue which will be notified by the Ladakh Police (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Board.
