Ladakh Police Constable Eligibility: Overview, Mode of Recruitment

On the 16th of October 2021, the Ladakh Police Department issued an official notification for the recruitment of 213 constable executive positions on the official website, police.ladakh.gov.in. The application process will start soon in online mode. The official website will be updated with the relevant dates soon. Candidates must submit their applications online within 30 days of the link’s activation. The PMT, PET, DV, desired qualification test, and written examination will be used in the selection procedure for the Ladakh Police Constable. Recruitment of Ladakh Police Constables

The Ladakh Police Department has issued a recruitment notice for 213 constables. Candidates can apply online via the Ladakh Police Department’s official website. Ladakh Police Constable Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Before the application deadline, the candidate must have passed the 10th-grade examination from a recognised Board of School Education. Any serving Special Police Officer (SPO) with a continuous duration of duty of at least three years must have completed the eighth grade from a recognised school.

Age Restriction (as of 01st January 2021)

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and no older than 28 years old. (Category wise reservation relaxation is provided for OBC/SC/ST/PWD/PH candidates)

Candidates who were born before January 1, 1993, and after 31-12-2002 are not eligible.

Physical Endurance Test For Ladakh Police Constables – (50 Marks)

Only those candidates who pass the physical measuring tests will be subjected to the physical endurance test. The physical endurance portion of the exam will be worth a maximum of 50 points and will include the following activities:

a. Long race (male 1600 metres, female 1000 metres) – 25 points

b. 100-meter short sprint – 25 points

Desired Qualifications

Only those candidates whose documents/testimonies have been reviewed and who have declared in their application that they possess one of the following desirable qualifications will be tested:

Possession of a Light Motor Vehicle Driving License with TRANS and proficiency in driving.

An AICTE-approved college must provide a one-year certificate programme in computer application.

A driving test will be conducted for individuals who have the desired qualification. The driving exam will be conducted in accordance with the most recent driving test guidelines developed by the UT Administration’s relevant department.
