MPSC STI Exam Pattern

There are two stages in the recruitment process for the post of MPSC STI. The examination will be held for Phase I and Phase II of the process. Phase I is the Preliminary Examination, and Phase II is the Mains Examination.

Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination will be a combined Examination for several posts, of which one post is MPSC STI.  

  • The subject for the Preliminary Examination will be General Ability
  • The questions will be objective type multiple-choice questions
  • There will be 100 questions
  • Each question will be for one mark
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Mains Examination

MPSC STI Exam Admit Card/Admission Certificate

Maharashtra Public Service Commission will release the Admit Card or the Admission Certificate for MPSC STI on its official website. The Admit Card will be released a week prior to the exam and will only be released on the official website of the Commission. No other means will be used to issue the Admit Card to the eligible candidates. For the Preliminary Examination, the Admit Card will be made available to such candidates whose application form is complete in all respects and is in order. The Admit Card for the Mains Examination shall be released for candidates who have qualified in the Preliminary Examination. The candidates can access their Admit Card on the official website of the Commission. The Admit Card needs to be printed and carried to the Examination Hall on the examination date since, without it, the candidate will not be allowed to sit for the examination. In case a candidate does not receive the Admit Card till three days prior to the examination, the candidate must immediately contact the appropriate authorities for a resolution.

Items to be carried on the Day of the Examination

The following items must be carried by the candidate to gain entry to the Examination Hall on the day of the examination:
