NDRI Institute Scholarship: The scholarship program is open to Indian nationals or individuals domiciled in India, regardless of gender, race, or religion. Eligible students must not be receiving any other scholarships or fellowships from other sources. However, students undergoing “Dairy Plant Operations and Management” in-plant training may be considered for merit scholarships.
The administration of the scholarship program will fall under the jurisdiction of the Joint Director/Director.

Duration of NDRI Institute Scholarship
For master’s students, the scholarship will be provided from the date of enrollment until the submission of the thesis or completion of two years, whichever comes earlier. Doctoral students will receive the scholarship from the date of enrollment until the submission of the thesis or completion of three years, whichever comes earlier. Extensions may be granted on merit, with a maximum extension of six months.
Conditions for Extension and Payment
To receive the scholarship, students must register for all prescribed courses each semester. Payments will be released only upon receipt of the progress report. Students who are removed from the university rolls for any reason will not receive any outstanding amounts. Scholarships will only be released after the declaration of results for the previous semester.
Conduct Probation and Termination
Scholarship payments will be suspended during periods of conduct probation. The scholarship will be terminated if the student ceases to be enrolled, completes their studies, the sanction expires, or if the student is found negligent or guilty of misconduct.
Scholarship for Collaborative Programs
Students participating in collaborative programs will not receive scholarships during their time away from the university. However, the period spent in the collaborative program will count towards the total scholarship duration.
Contingency Grant
Master’s and doctoral students may be eligible for a contingency grant to cover certain study-related expenses. This grant will be provided to students who do not receive scholarships for any reason.

Master’s students will receive Rs. 7560 per month, while doctoral students will receive Rs. 10,500 per month during their Ph.D. tenure.
