NPSC Selection Process 2024

The recruitment process for the Nagaland Civil Services Exam involves three stages:

  1. Prelims
  2. Mains
  3. Interview/Personality Test

Stage 1: Prelims Exam

The first stage of the CESE NPSC Prelims test consists of 200 questions in the form of objective type which carries 200 marks and is held for 2 hours. This test is a screening test for the candidates, for NPSC Mains Exam. Candidates who qualify for this test, are considered for the second stage.

Stage 2: Mains Exam

The NPSC Nagaland Mains exam consists of three papers, each carrying 200 marks. These papers include both descriptive and objective-type questions that candidates need to respond to. Once candidates pass the NPSC Mains exam, they will be called for an interview or personality test as part of the selection process.

Stage 3: Personality Test/Interview

Candidates who successfully clear the NPSC Mains test cut off, are invited to take part in Interview or Personality Test. In the interview, the candidates are assessed based on their interpersonal skills, personality traits, determination, and suitability for the position.

NPSC CCE Mains 2024 Syllabus

The Mains syllabus for Nagaland PSC covers a broader range of subjects compared to the Prelims exam. It includes General Essays, General Studies, and Optional Subjects chosen by candidates. Paper III: General Studies Paper-II (Descriptive form of short and long answer type)

  • Indian Polity and Public Administration: It will include questions on the Constitution, administration, and Political system in India.
  • Indian Economy and Geography: Questions will be asked from the planning, physical, economic, and social geography of India.
  • Social Problems and sensitive issues involving environmental issues will include problems like child labor, HIV/AIDS, gender bias, minorities, SC/ST, illiteracy, poverty, employment, etc. Global issues, such as environmental problems, will be covered.
