OPSC Civil Service Cut Off

The cut-off marks for the OPSC Civil Service Exams are released separately for all the stages. The Cut-off marks are different each year as well as for each post and the category of candidates. The cut-off marks help in the selection of the candidates. The OPSC Civil Service Cut Off for the Prelims exam is generally released a few weeks before the Mains Exam. Factors On The Basis Of Which The Cut Off Is Determined

The OPSC Civil Services Cut Off is decided on the basis of a few factors – 

1. Total Number of Candidates who have applied for the Exam – If the application for the exam is more, that means more competition for less number of vacancies. Thus the cut off has to be increased.
2. The difficulty level of the Exam – If the exam is complex, the cut off marks will be less. On the other hand, if the exam is easy, cut off marks will be more.
3. Total Number of Vacancies to be filled – If the number of vacancies is less, the cut off for clearing the exam is increased so that fewer candidates qualify. On the other hand, if the number of vacancies is more, the cut off for clearing the exam is decreased.
