The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the notification for the recruitment of 8500 vacancies for Apprentices. You can work in SBI bank for a maximum period of three years. So, the candidates who were willing to qualify in the examinations of IIBF can apply. In this post, we have the brought an SBI Apprentice preparation strategy for you with tips and strategies to pass the exam with a high score. SBI Apprentice exam has four sections: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English and Reasoning. Refer to the table below for a detailed outlook:
Note: Each test will have separate timing as mentioned above. 1/4th of the marks assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer. There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects.

SBI Apprentice Preparation Strategy for Each Section
General/Financial awareness:
- Read the newspaper daily to gain knowledge of current affairs.
- Have a good overview of Indian Financial system, Polity and Constitution and Indian Economy.
- Follow news related to Defence, Summits and Sports.
- Study the history of Indian culture and static GK.
- Attempt online tests at regular intervals so that you can get more information.

General English:
- Learn grammar and practice some questions daily.
- There will be at least one passage (reading comprehension) which has 5 questions. So, develop a habit of reading newspapers, books, etc.. This will help you significantly in going through comprehensions and answering questions based on the given passages.
- You need to practice more questions on sentence rearrangement, error correction and fill in the blanks which will cover around 13-15 marks of the English section.
- Try to take online tests daily.

Quantitative Aptitude:
- Work on the basics of topics like Number system, Percentages, Ratio and Proportions, Time and Work, Speed and time, etc..
- Try to cover each topic of banking quantitative aptitude as there will be at least one question of the major quant topics.

- Concentrate more on the topic which you are having difficulty in.
- Finally, take the mock test and previous year question papers for your revision.

Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude:
- First try to cover easy topics of logical reasoning and computer aptitude.
- Practice more questions of ranking, coding-decoding, input-output, etc, which will help you to score up to ten marks.
- We can expect at least one puzzle which has five questions. So, try to solve one puzzle of any topic daily.
- Take a mock test daily so that you can easily crack this section with ease.

SBI Apprentice Preparation Strategy: General Tips
- The very first point is to make a timetable which includes all the four sections so that you can keep a track of the progress in your preparations.
- Please cover all the topics in the timetable and strictly follow them.
- Develop a habit of reading and taking notes regularly.
- Attempt full mock tests at least once a week to keep a check on the time taken by you to attempt the questions.
- The most important thing is you need to maintain accuracy which will help you to boost your score during normalization as each wrong answer will bring you negative marks.
- Try to analyse your strong and weak areas and work on them accordingly
