SEBI IT Officer
The SEBI Grade A IT Selection process includes three phases which are Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3. The Phase 1 & Phase 2 are further divided into two online papers each. To be eligible for SEBI IT Officer, the candidates must be maximum 30 years old and should possess the bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline.

SEBI IT Officer Application Fee
Every candidate who will apply for the SEBI IT Officer Exam will have to pay the application fee. The category wise application fee is given in the table below:

SEBI IT Officer Eligibility 2025
SEBI IT Officer Notification will have all the details on the eligibility criteria such as nationality, educational qualification, age limit and more.
SEBI IT Officer Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any branch or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
with a post graduate qualification (minimum two years’ duration) in computer science/
computer application/ information technology from a recognized University / Institute..
SEBI IT Officer Age Limit
The reference date for the calculation of the age limit for SEBI Grade A IT 2024 Officer is usually the last date of the month in which the notification is out.
Maximum Age Limit: 30 Years
Candidate must have been born on or after April 01, 1995. (Expected)
SEBI IT Officer Selection Process 2025
The SEBI IT Officer will be selected on the basis of three phases which are:
- Phase 1 (Online exam consisting of 2 papers)
- Phase 2 (Online exam consisting of 2 papers)
- Phase 3 (Interview)
SEBI IT Officer Exam Pattern 2025
Knowing the exam pattern allows the candidates to clarify their preparations in their minds. So, go through the exam pattern for both the stages below:
SEBI IT Officer Phase 1 Exam Pattern
The Phase 1 Exam will consist of two papers. Check the detailed pattern below:

| Paper 1 | All Streams: MCQs on subjects viz. GA (including some questions related to Financial Sector), English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. |
| Paper 2 | Information Technology Stream: MCQs on Specialized subject related to stream |
- Phase I is the online screening examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each.
- The Paper 1 is for 100 marks to be attempted in 60 minutes and the cut off is 30%.
- For Paper 2, the maximum marks is 100, the duration is 40 minutes and the cut off is 40%.
- The aggregate cut off for both the papers will be 40%.
- Negative Marking: 1/4th for both papers in Phase 1.
- Marks secured in Phase 1 will not be counted in final selection.
SEBI IT Officer Phase 2 Exam Pattern
The Phase 2 Exam will consist of two papers for 100 marks each. Check the detailed pattern below:
- For Paper 1, the cut off is 30% and for Paper 2, the cut off is 40%. The aggregate cut off for both papers is 50%.
- The maximum marks for both papers is 100 marks each.
- The duration of paper 1 is 60 minutes whereas the duration of paper 2 is 210 minutes.

SEBI IT Officer Salary
The SEBI IT Officer Salary is Rs 1,16,500 with accommodation and Rs 1,55,000 without accommodation. The pay scale of SEBI Grade A IT Officer is ₹ 44500-2500 (4)-54500-2850 (7)-74450-EB-2850 (4)-85850-3300 (1)-89150 (17 years).
