A key change in this year’s SIDBI Grade A Selection Process is that there will be 2 phases of the online computer-based test. Candidates will first take the written exam, followed by a psychometric test, and then attend an interview at the SIDBI offices. This process aims to assess the overall skills, knowledge, and suitability of candidates for the post of Assistant Manager in Grade A.

Phase I – Online Screening Examination | – Online test with one paper divided into 7 sections, totaling 200 marks. – Candidates must secure the minimum cut-off marks set by SIDBI to qualify for Phase II. |
Phase II – Online Examination | – Online test with two papers, totaling 200 marks. – Candidates who meet the cut-off marks will be shortlisted for the interview round. |
Psychometric Test | – Conducted by a third-party agency after Phase II. – Assesses personality, communication skills, problem-solving ability, and willingness to work in different locations. – Results are shared with the interview panel for comprehensive evaluation. |
Personal Interview | – Candidates who pass the Psychometric Test are invited for a Personal Interview at SIDBI offices. |
Phase III – Interview | – Carries 100 marks, with 25% weightage given to achievements in extracurricular activities (District/State/National level), awards, and recognition, based on submitted documents. |
Final Selection | – Based on performance in the Phase II Examination and the Interview. |

The Phase-I exam for SIDBI Grade A recruitment is divided into two sections: the Qualifying Section and the Merit Section. The selection process focuses on evaluating candidates’ knowledge and skills in specific areas relevant to banking and finance.

The following is the exam pattern followed for the descriptive part of the objective test in SIDBI’s Grade A officers’ recruitment:

- Answer Mode: For descriptive questions, answers must be typed using a keyboard.
- Bilingual Option: Objective questions are available in both Hindi and English.
