SSC GD Medical Test 2025-26: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC GD Medical Test 2025 details. The medical test for SSC GD Constable was held from 12th November to 9th December 2025. This was the final stage of the selection process after the PET/PST round. In this test, candidates are examined based on physical and medical standards to ensure they are fit for service in forces like BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, AR, and SSF.

SSC GD Medical Test 2025

The SSC GD Medical Test 2025 will be conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs in coordination with the Central Armed Police Forces. It is the final stage of the selection process, where candidates who have cleared the SSC GD CBT and PET/PST exams will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the required physical and medical standards for the post.

What is the SSC GD Medical Test?

The Medical Examination is the final step in the SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern. It is conducted for candidates who have cleared the Computer-Based Test, PET, and PST exams. The purpose of this exam candidates are physically fit to handle the duties of the role. The SSC GD Medical Test includes:

• Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Mandatory for all shortlisted candidates to assess overall fitness.
• Review Medical Examination (RME): Optional for candidates declared “Unfit” in the DME, allowing them to seek a second opinion.

What is the SSC GD Running Time?

The SSC GD running time refers to the maximum time limit within which a candidate must complete the prescribed running distance during the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This running test is compulsory for selection to Constable (GD) posts in CAPFs. Femal Running Time differs from male running time and it differs for region (Ladakh or non-Ladakh).

SSC GD Medical Test 2025 DME

The SSC GD Detailed Medical Examination (DME) is for candidates who pass the PET, PST, and CBT to ensure they meet medical standards. It follows the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Mental Health	Candidate should be intelligent and have good mental health.
Hearing	Hearing must be clear, with no obvious ear, nose, or throat problems.
Vision	Each eye should meet the required vision standards, with clear and normal eyes.
Speech	Speech should be smooth without any stammering.
Glandular Swelling	There should be no visible swelling in the glands anywhere on the body.
Chest	Chest should be well-formed, without abnormalities, and should expand by at least 5 cm. The heart and lungs must be healthy.
Limbs and Joints	Limbs, hands, and feet should be well-developed with full movement in all joints.
Old Fractures	No signs of old or improperly healed fractures.
Joint Movement	Joints should move freely and without any issues.
Feet and Toes	Feet and toes should be properly formed.
Congenital Defects	No visible birth defects or malformations.
General Health	No past diseases or health issues that could affect fitness.
Teeth	Must have at least 14 healthy teeth for proper chewing.
Genitourinary Health	No visible disease in the genitourinary system.
Scrotal Health	No swelling in the scrotum or inguinal area.
Testes	Testes must be in the scrotum and of normal size (for male candidates).
Re-enrolment History	For re-enrolment, the candidate’s past medical history should be carefully reviewed for any injuries or health problems.

SSC GD Medical Test 2025 RME

The Review Medical Examination (RME) is conducted for candidates declared “Unfit” during the DME.

• Cardiac Issues: ECG/Echocardiogram for valvular defects.
• Chest Lesions: CT Chest for conditions like Hilar lymphadenitis, calcified spots, or Koch’s infiltrations.
• Vascular Defects: Color Doppler for varicose veins or vascular malformations.
• Eye Conditions: Tests (e.g., slit lamp, OCT, HVF) for LASIK, glaucoma, or squint.
• Hypertension/Tachycardia: Hospitalization, X-ray, ECG, cholesterol, lipid profile. creatinine tests to confirm the nature of the condition.
• Coronary Artery Disease (CAD): TMT test for confirmation.
• Tremors: Neurologist’s opinion to rule out thyrotoxicosis.
• Diabetes: GGT and Glycosylated Hb tests.
• Skeletal Deformities: X-Ray for knock knees, bow legs, etc.
• Hearing Issues: Audiometry for deafness.
• Dental Defects: OPG for candidates with dental points below 14.

Reasons for Rejection in SSC GD Medical Test

Candidates may be declared “Unfit” for reasons such as:

• Ears: Deafness, perforated eardrums, chronic ear discharge.
• Nose and Sinuses: Nasal polyps, severe DNS, or any condition obstructing breathing.
• Dental Health: Loss of teeth affecting chewing ability or severe gum issues.
• Physical Deformities: Flat feet, bow legs, knock knees, or any condition impairing mobility.
• Skin Disorders: Severe acne, psoriasis, or other chronic skin conditions.
• Internal Conditions: Cardiac issues, tuberculosis, asthma, or abdominal abnormalities like hernias.

Candidates who qualify for the SSC GD Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be shortlisted for the Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
