Success Story of Manik Jetly

Hello everyone, I am Manik Jetly and I was born in Saharanpur, a district in Uttar Pradesh. I did my schooling from there itself. I am a B.com graduate.

I have not given any other exam but SBI PO 2019 and with the grace of God and blessings of my parents I cleared it in the 1st attempt getting 30/30 in the interview.

I joined a coaching institute but my high expectations were not fulfilled there. So, I focused more on online mode of study as all the latest things are available online.

English was my strong part as I had developed a good base in the school itself.

Maths was always a problem so I decided to go for selected topics and practiced a lot. (Start Practicing with free mock test here)

Reasoning was new to me so I practised lots of questions and over time I got better and fast too.

GA part was the main part as it’s the most scoring in mains and here Oliveboard YouTube channel played an important part.

Also, the weekly free speed tests on the oliveboard website are a gift. I used to give these tests regularly. Though I never purchased any speed test but the free ones helped a lot.

My tip to any candidate for bank PO exam would be that give more and more speed tests and do selected questions only with which you are comfortable. This ability to find questions will develop overtime. (Start Now)

Also, I believe that the difficulty level of the exam which I cleared was getting reduced as I progressed i.e. according to me prelims was the most difficult followed by mains (you get lots of time in mains and chances are you’ll get tired sitting for 4 hours) and GD/PI was easiest.

Just be yourself in the interview and you’ll see miracles happening. DON’T PANIC. If you panic you’ll not be able to give your best. Be calm and have faith in God. Also One Important thing is to read interview experiences of candidates who have the same study background as you have, this will help a lot.

The final selection is a product of hard work, smart work and determination in which all 3 are very important. Strive for becoming a little better day by day and success will follow. I was asked around 21 questions and the interview lasted around 15 minutes. It was in LHO New Delhi.

I think I have given a summary of my journey. Hope it helps.”

That is all from us in this success story of Manik Jetly. We hope you found the preparation strategy tips shared above useful and motivational. All the best for your preparation.
