1. Here’s The Inspiring Success Story of Abhishek Kumar

Hello guys, My Name is Abishek Kumar. I am from Jammu in J&K. I am a 2018 B.Sc graduate from GGM SCIENCE COLLEGE. Currently, I am working as a SCALE 1 OFFICER IN JK GRAMEEN BANK. POSTED IN REGIONAL OFFICE RAJOURI/ POONCH.

My journey towards success started from the day I entered my college’s self-help group of students, I don’t know about the theory I learned but the valuable efforts to lit up the fire for success started from there only.

After that,  I passed out of college in 2018, I made it clear in my mind that I would not pursue higher studies. Rather I will prepare for some job as I was not economically good, so our family required someone who could earn as no one was even earning Rs. 10,000 a month.

That’s why I choose the banking sector because here we can earn as fast as we can.

I started my preparation with one thing in my mind that If I am honest to myself, all things will go in the right way.

The one thing that always motivated me to move forward was that every time my score was improving which assured me that I am on the right track.

But then again I thought deeply over my situation and my strategy.

The one thing I missed was the REVISION OF TOPICS AND NOT GIVING MANY MOCK TESTS.

So again, I started my preparation and started revising the topics but, the good quality mock tests were still missing that was fulfilled by OLIVEBOARD. And finally, I was able to clear every pre. And my story continues to date.

1.1 Here’s A Glimpse On Abhishek’s Struggle

These are the exams that he appeared in before finally achieving his goal:

i.) IBPS PO (Pre):- Got 35 marks. (Not cleared)

ii.) IBPS CLERK (Pre):- Got 58 (Not cleared)

iii.) JK BANK BA AND JK BANK PO:- Cleared PO pre by 62 marks, gave mains but due to some reasons, this recruitment was scrapped.

iv.) SBI CLERK and SBI PO:- Got 66.5 marks in SBI PO pre and lost its mains by a margin of 1.5 numbers. Got 80 marks in SBI clerk pre and gave mains examination but again my hard luck got failed by 2.5 marks.

v.) RRB PO:- Got 56.5 marks in RRB PO Pre & Gave mains examination. And finally, I cleared it.

vi.) LIC ASSISTANT:- I had cleared its pre also and given mains examination. And I was placed on the waiting list.

2. A Look At His Section-wise Preparation Strategy

2.1 Quant Section Preparation Strategy

This section is my strongest part. And, I think 96% of this section is based on concepts. My Strategy was to ace 2 topics, Ratio and Percentage. It worked a lot for me, After ratio and percentage, the whole quant became a lot easier to approach

So first, work on these two topics. Then, it will be easy to understand other topics.

2.2 English Section Preparation Strategy

It was my second best part. I will give you a simple tip on this topic. It will work like magic, and gradually you will gain a hold on this topic.

a) Read Norman-Lewis for vocabulary and note down 10 words daily for practice and revision. This technique helped me prepare a list of more than 2000 words by the time of exams.

b) Do 1 RC daily and do it with a timer. Practice daily to master the topic.

c)Daily do 2 para jumbles with timing and analysis.

d) Daily do 1 cloze test with the same procedure.

e) Daily do 10 sentence completion.

f) Daily do 10 spotting error-based questions to practice.

Follow the technique and you will be able to tackle the English section with much ease.

2.3 Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy

Practice puzzle-based questions as much as you can, these will be helpful in both prelims and mains. Usually, puzzles in mains require intelligence, and puzzles in prelims require speed.

Choosing the puzzle while in the mains exam becomes of utmost importance. Choose them wisely and you will be able to crack the section.

Practice Types of Reasoning Questions

2.4 GA Section Preparation Strategy

I mostly used to prepare from GK capsules. Just pick up one website and start preparing because, in the end, it depends on how much you have revised these current affairs.

For Banking Awareness, I relied on Oliveboard’s Monthly BOLT.

3. Few Tips For The Aspirants

  • Don’t be hyper in the examination hall. Be patient and believe in yourself.
  • Only think of giving 100% from your side whether it is a 30 marks attempt.
  • Things will surely improve if your effort level is high.
  • Learn tables up to 25, squares up to 50, cubes up to 20,  fast multiplication tips.

4. How Mock Tests play An Important Role?

Friends, these mock tests are the final scenes of your movie without which clearing the exam would be a bit difficult. I had subscribed to the Oliveboard test series every time I started my preparation for any exams. The important point in their test series is their quality of Mock tests, you will always get experience with each exam. You will be forced to analyze your strategies, and we all know when the analysis process starts it always brings the right things.

At last, I just want to say that a human can succeed at almost anything for which he has unlimited enthusiasm.
