Success Story of Tanuja Sharma – Cleared IDBI Assistant Manager, SBI Clerk

Read the success story of Tanuja Sharma, who even after missing the major banking exams by few marks, did not lose hope and with the help of her family & Oliveboard went onto clear SBI Clerk & IDBI Assistant Manager examinations.

My story would not be the fancy one but probably an inspiring one. I am a B.Tech graduate in Electronics & Communication, 2017. I started my preparation as soon as I completed my graduation because I was very sure in my head that I want a government job. My cousin who is an SBI PO helped & guided me all the way. 

After some time, I moved to Delhi for preparation and then I realized the competition. Till 2018, I could not clear even a single prelims. Whenever I was confident to clear any of these exams, I was hit by the level of competition because it started a new height altogether, especially after SSC CGL case. SSC aspirants were moving into the banking sector and it was getting tougher for the new aspirants to clear even the prelims because the cutoff was reaching new heights. 

After ‘n’ number of failures, I was able to crack the South Indian Bank PO exam and was selected for the interview. It was that time when my journey actually started or my own little success story. I cleared SBI PO prelims & mains. But in the interview, I scored 38/50 and missed it by 2.5 marks. Again, I cleared SBI Clerk prelims & mains. But, I failed in IBPS PO & missed by 0.5 ……. BOB PGDBF missed by 0.0.

The toughest time for anyone is to start from zero…like an athlete gets injured and has to start after recovery. During this phase, the athlete goes through a series of ups & downs. Same happened with me as well. My basics were quite clear and so I was able to clear prelims of almost all the exams but then I could clear the Mains due to the rising competition and cutoff. The same happened with me during LIC AAO where I missed the opportunity with some marks.

I started my preparation again for SBI PO 2019 and was getting above 95 percentile in Olive board mock tests and very sure of clearing it this time. But again, my luck struck me back when I got late for mains examination by 5 min and could not attend it. The kind of feeling I was going through at that moment cannot be expressed in words. But I knew that God was testing me and there were better things in store for me. 

I have strongly held myself and my family who were there with me throughout this journey. My journey made me a better person today. In all this, I relied completely on Oliveboard. It is not just a mock test, it has been like my teacher, my companion, throughout the journey. I want to continue this journey and hope again to appear for bigger exams like SBI and RBI in future. 

So never lose patience and hope. If you can manage to keep yourself dedicated, then half your work is already sorted.
