Hello guys, I am Utkarsh from Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Recently I  have qualified for Bihar State Cooperative Bank as an Assistant Manager.I have completed my B.tech from Delhi in 2016. After that, I did search for a job but could not get the right opportunity. So, I started my banking preparation in 2017. 

My first exam was SBI PO in 2017 and fortunately I could crack the prelims but didn’t get through Mains. In my banking journey, I realized that prelims is about speed and mains is all about the concept. During my preparation journey, Oliveboard mocks tests proved extremely beneficial for me & helped me a lot especially in Reasoning and English section. 

My preparation strategy & tips:

Reasoning: For puzzles and seating arrangement you have to rely on mock tests and quizzes. Solve 4-5 mains level puzzles daily from various sources provided on the internet. The success for this section is very much dependent on how we select & attempt the questions especially in mains.

Quants: For this section, you will have to choose some arithmetic chapters and get command over it. For DI, percentage and ratio proportion is the most important chapter. Attempting & analyzing Oliveboard mocks tests will help you guys to clear your concepts and build confidence for mains.

English: Reading is the key to success for this section. Here I am providing some good article sources: Project Syndicate, Economist The guardian, Business Standard Aeon, The Diplomat. After reading do analyse mock tests and practice some quizzes for new pattern questions.

GA: For this section, I used to  read daily current affairs from various sources and attempted as many quizzes as I could. Remember, Revision is the key.

1- SBI PO 2017: Qualified prelims but could not clear mains

2- IBPS PO 2017: Did not qualify Prelims

3- IBPS CLERK: Qualified prelims but could not clear mains

4- Canara, Syndicate and BOB PGDBM: Did not qualify

5- SBI PO 2018: Qualified prelims but could not clear mains

6- SBI CLERK 2018: Qualified prelims but could not clear mains

7- RRB PO 2018: Qualified both prelims and mains reached till the interview

8- IBPS PO 2018: Qualified both prelims and mains reached till the interview

9- Bihar State Cooperative Bank: Selected as Assistant Manager (BSCB Patna)

At last I want to say that if a mediocre student like me can qualify bank exam then why not you. Never give up and remember that nothing is impossible if you have proper guidance and strategy.
