TNMAWS Eligibility Criteria

• The maximum age allowed is 32 years as of July 1, 2024.
• No maximum age limit is applicable for certain categories, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Castes (Arunthathiyas), Scheduled Tribes, Most Backward Classes / Denotified Communities, Backward Classes (OBCMs), Backward Classes (Muslims), and Destitute Widows across all categories.
• Persons with Benchmark Disability can avail age concession of up to 10 years beyond the specified maximum age limit.
• Ex-servicemen have a maximum age limit of 50 years.
• The age concession mentioned earlier doesn’t apply to ex-servicemen already recruited in any class, service, or category.

As per the TNMWAS Notification, candidates should possess the required educational qualification or an equivalent degree from a University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission/AICTE by January 31, 2024, to be eligible. The application form can be filled starting from February 9, 2024.

Sanitary Inspector	B.Sc degree in Zoology allied with Chemistry or Chemistry allied with Zoology, or B.Sc degree in Public Health or Environmental Science or Microbiology or Bio-Chemistry. Must have completed Sanitary Inspector course from any institution approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Junior Engineer/Town Planning Inspector (Planning) (Municipality)	Diploma in Civil Engineering or Degree in Planning or Diploma in Architecture from any institution. Preference given to those…
Junior Engineer	Licentiate in Civil Engineering or licentiate in Sanitary Engineering Diploma or D.C.E. awarded by State Board of Technical Examination and Training, Madras or any Diploma recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Draughtsman, Technical Assistant, Overseer, Work Inspector	Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
