The TNPSC Group 4 Vacancy is dependent upon the number of posts available in below mentioned four departments:

  1. Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service
  2. Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service
  3. Tamil Nadu survey and land records subordinate service
  4. Tamil Nadu secretariat service

The number of vacancies available keeps on changing on year on year basis. Above mentioned vacancy is inclusive of carried forwarded vacancies. And as per Section 27 of Tamil Nadu Governments servants, the first selection will be made for carried forward vacancies followed by regular vacancies.

TNPSC Group 4 Exam Fee

  • TNPSC requires submission of fees in online mode only on the official website.
  • While applying for an exam online, kindly note there is no need to upload any documents. 
  • Post successful clearance of written examination only; candidate will be requested to submit documents online for verification.
  • There is no offline mode of accepting examination fees. Hence, candidates are requested not to send examination fees offline through demand draft/postal order, and offline will be rejected.

 The candidate has to pay the below mentioned fees in online mode:

One time registration fees (applicable for 5 years) along with examination fees150 rupees*
Examination fees without one-time registration100 rupees
*One-time registration fee is mandatory as without applicant can not submit their application

Candidates can avail of exam fee concession if they meet the below-mentioned conditions as prescribed by Tamil Nadu Government:

TNPSC Group 4 Exam Pattern

TNPSC Group 4 exam is an objective type wherein the level of question will be upto SSLC standard. Candidates have the option to choose from Tamil or English as the mode of examination. The duration of the examination, passing marks, maximum marks, and subjects are mentioned in the table below:

TNPSC Group 4 Selection Procedure

  • As said earlier, TNPSC recruits candidates based on merit. Hence, the Commission prepares the list of shortlisted candidates based on the marks obtained in the written examination.
  • A list of these shortlisted candidates is published on the website, where they are instructed to submit their certificates for onscreen verification.
  • Post successful verification of their documents; departments are allotted to the candidates as per available vacancy.
