UGC NET Shift Timings 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC-NET December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles) for ‘Junior Research Fellowship’ and eligibility for ‘Assistant Professor’ in 82 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Total Number Of Questions In UGC NET 

The total number of questions in the UGC NET is as follows:

  • There will be 150 multiple-choice questions in the UGC NET.
  • Paper 1 contains 50 questions and Paper 2 contains 100 questions.
  • There are no restrictions on moving between the Papers.
  • You must answer all the questions.

UGC NET Marking Scheme 

  • For both Paper 1 and Paper 2, a uniform marking scheme is used, which means that each correct answer will get you two points.
  • There is no negative marking for erroneous answers in the UGC NET exam’s revised exam design, so rather than skipping a question, you can apply a calculated guess and indicate the correct answer.

UGC NET Shift Timings 2022: Important Instructions to Candidates

  • If you do not appear in Paper-I will not be permitted to appear in Paper-II and Paper-III.
  • Paper-I:- Sixty (60) multiple-choice questions of two marks each will be given, out of which the candidate would be required to answer any fifty (50).
  • If you attempt more than fifty questions, the first fifty questions you attempted would be evaluated
  • There is no Negative Marking in Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III.
  • You may be disqualified for using unfair means if you write any question from Test Booklet on Admission Card or any other paper.
  • In addition to UGC not issuing any mark sheets to qualified/non-qualified candidates, there is no revaluation of papers in this examination.
  • You should note that results published by UGC will be only provisional.
  • You will be issued a certificate only after preliminary checking of the eligibility conditions outlined in the notification of UGC-NET.
  • Paper-II will consist of 50 objective-type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
  • Paper-III will consist of 75 objective-type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate.
  • Each question will carry 2 marks. Paper-III will cover the entire syllabus of the subject which is available on the UGC website www.ugc.ac.in and www.ugcnetonline.in
