WBCS – Age Limit (as on 1/1/2024)

The minimum and upper age limit for the candidates willing to apply for the West Bengal PSC exam varies according to the group and posts. The recruitment is done for four groups i.e. Group A, B, C and D. The age relaxation is also provided to the candidates who belong to reserved category and seek for the relaxation in their upper age limit.

WBCS 2024 – Educational Qualification

• Possess a degree from a recognized university in India.

WBPSC Requirement: Physical Standards

Before you apply online, make sure you meet the physical standards and adhere to the WBCS age limit. Both male and female applicants must meet specific height requirements as part of the WBCS physical standards. Certain groups, like Garwalis, Gorkhas, Assamese Tribals, etc., may be eligible for height relaxation.

Assistant Canal Revenue Officer	Will have to work in remote areas and their jurisdiction will cover a large number of villages. Will be required to attend Tehsil and Zilla Offices on bicycle for transport.
West Bengal Junior Social Welfare Service	In homes of blind/deaf/dumb- degree or Diploma or Certificate in the training of Blind and / or Deaf and Dumb shall be an essential qualification
West Bengal Subordinate Land Revenue Service, Grade – I	Has good working knowledge of the Bengali Language, written and spoken. Candidates with Nepali as their mother tongue will need to pass a departmental examination in Bengali in two years. Shall be appointed provisionally and shall undergo a period of six months’ in-service training. The training includes subjects such as cadastral survey, preparation of records-of-rights, revenue laws, elementary instructions in all other laws relevant for the service. Candidates who fail to pass the end of Training Examination shall be liable to be discharged without notice.
Important Condition	Male candidates will be unsuitable for the posts meant for institutions for females. Female candidates will be unsuitable for the posts meant for institutions for males.

WBCS Eligibility Criteria Important Points 

• Devices with digital and electrical components, such as smartwatches and smartphones, are prohibited in the exam room.
• Except for a water bottle, candidates are not permitted to bring any food or beverages inside the exam area.
• Borrowing stationery is not permitted in the hall. The applicants are required to bring their writing supplies.
• The applicant has to be fluent in Bengali in both writing and speaking.
• Candidates must be willing to work in the territories mentioned by the appropriate department.
