WBCS Notification: The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has not yet released the notification for the West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) Exam 2024. The notification is expected to be released in the upcoming months. The recruitment process involves three stages: Prelims, Mains, and the Interview Round. Steps to fill the WBCS Application Form

Candidates meeting all the eligibility parameters, can apply for the West Bengal Civil Service Exam 2024. Here are steps to apply online. Follow the steps and fill the application form without any mistake.

Step-1 Visit the official website of West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) @https://wbpsc.gov.in/. 

Step-2 Register yourself by clicking on “ONE TIME REGISTRATION” appearing on the right side of the homepage. 

Step-3 Fill in the required details to get the registration number & password. 

Step-4 Click on “Login if Already Registered” and submit the registration number, password, and captcha code. 

Step-5 Enter education qualification, age, and other details required in the WBCS Application Form 2024. 

Step-6 Pay the requisite application fee through online mode. 

Step-7 Submit the WBCS Application Form after thorough verification of the details filled. 

Step-8 Download a copy of WBCS Application Form for future reference. 

WBCS Application Fee

The application fees submitted for WBCS Exam, are non-refundable amount for all the categories. However, SC/ST candidates of WB State and Persons with disabilities (40% and above) having a physical disability are not required to pay any WBCS application fee.

WBPSC Exam Pattern 2024

The WBCS Prelims exam consists a single paper on General Studies. For the WBCS Mains Exam, candidates face six compulsory papers and one optional subject with two papers. Optional Subjects are for those opting for Group A and Group B services. Among the compulsory papers, four are of the MCQ type, covering topics like General Studies, the Constitution of India and Indian Economy, Arithmetic, and Test of Reasoning. The Mains Exam, conducted in Bengali/English, is of the Conventional/Essay type. Any disclosure of identity in any paper, results in 10% deduction from the total marks.
