Sari Walkathon
Background

Following the success of the inaugural Sari Walkathon in Surat, where over 15,000 women donned various types of saris to promote fitness and advocate for traditional textiles, Mumbai is set to host the largest-ever Saree Walkathon.
This initiative, organized by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, seeks to promote fitness awareness among women and inspire them to lead healthier lives. Women from different parts of the country are expected to participate in the walk, showcasing their unique traditional ways of draping saris.
Registration
Individuals interested in participating in the Sari Walkathon can register through the dedicated website, where the registration process is OTP-based for security. Smt. Darshana Jardosh, the Union Minister of State for Textiles, set an example by being the first to register on the portal.
