SSC CHSL Typing Test and Skill Test Preparation

Unlike many other SSC examinations, SSC CHSL includes a Typing Test or Skill Test depending on the post. Candidates should therefore begin typing practice well before Tier 2 rather than waiting until the objective examination is completed. For LDC/JSA posts, the latest verified CHSL scheme prescribes a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi. DEO candidates have to meet the applicable data-entry speed requirement prescribed for their post.

How to Use SSC CHSL Study Material Effectively?

What Is the SSC CHSL Exam Pattern?

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern includes Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier 1 is used for shortlisting candidates for Tier 2, while final merit under the latest verified CHSL scheme is prepared using the aggregate performance in Section I and Section II of Tier 2, subject to qualifying the Computer Knowledge Test and Skill/Typing Test.

SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Pattern

SSC CHSL Tier 1 is a Computer-Based Examination consisting of four subjects. Under the latest officially verifiable CHSL pattern, candidates receive 60 minutes for the complete paper, while eligible scribe candidates receive the applicable compensatory time. There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for every incorrect answer.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

SSC CHSL Tier 2 consists of objective modules along with Computer Knowledge and a Skill Test/Typing Test. The examination is conducted in two sessions. Session I contains Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. Session II consists of the applicable Skill Test or Typing Test.
