State-Wise IBPS RRB Participating Banks

IBPS RRB recruitment covers participating Regional Rural Banks across 28 states/Union Territories. Candidates should remember that the RRB available to them depends on the state and the local-language eligibility prescribed for that bank. The recent consolidation of Regional Rural Banks has reduced the number of individual RRBs compared with earlier recruitment cycles. For example, the CRP-RRB XIII notification contained 43 participating RRBs, while the subsequent amalgamation resulted in a much more consolidated structure.

Local Language Requirement for IBPS RRB

Local language proficiency is an important eligibility requirement in IBPS RRB recruitment. The prescribed language differs according to the participating RRB and its operational area. For example, West Bengal Gramin Bank requires Bengali or Nepali, while Karnataka Grameena Bank requires Kannada and Tamil Nadu Grama Bank requires Tamil.

Which posts are offered through IBPS RRB?

IBPS conducts recruitment for both clerical and officer-level positions through the RRB recruitment process. For CRP-RRB XV, IBPS has separate recruitment processes for Office Assistants and Officers Scale I, II and III. Candidates applying in the Officer cadre can apply for only one officer post among Scale I, Scale II and Scale III.

Why Are Participating RRBs Important?

The participating bank list helps candidates understand where vacancies are available and which regional language requirements apply. It is particularly important for candidates targeting Office Assistant and Officer Scale I because their eligibility and recruitment preferences are connected to the participating RRBs and their respective states.
