CLAT 2023 (Common Law Admission Test ) is going to be conducted in OFFLINE mode on 18th December, 2022 from 2 PM to 4 PM for admission into 22 NLUs across India. The online enrolment for CLAT 2023 is open on 8th August, 2022 and close on 13th November, 2022. Indian Nationals/NRIs/PIO/OCI seeking admission in either of the UG programmes shall appear in CLAT 2023.Foreign Nationals need not appear for the test. CLAT 2023 – Steps to Apply
- Candidates must go to the Consortium of National Law Universities’ official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in
- Click on the CLAT 2023 option to choose it.
- Select the “Register” option to launch the registration process after the page for logging in displays on the screen or click on the link given
- Now, provide the information required for registration, including your name, email address, mobile number, and password.
- To begin, click the “Register” button.
- Utilize the OTP that was supplied to the applicants to validate your account.
- You need to input the OTP before you can “Activate” the button.
- Fill complete the application after logging in with the newly established email address and password.
- Select the program you wish to apply to at this time.
- Fill out the form completely, including your contact options, qualifications test results, and reservation requests.
- You must submit scanned copies of your photo, signature, and other required documents in accordance with the guidelines specified by the appropriate authorities.
- Before applying, carefully read the statement and the application.
- Please go ahead and use the online system to pay the application cost right now.

- Front facing passport size recent photograph with plain background
- Signature of the candidate
- Category certificate if you are applying under SC/ST/OBC
- Relevant certificate issued by competent authority if you are applying if candidate is P.W.D
- Relevant certificate issued by competent authority if you are coming under BPL category
NOTE:
- The original certificates/documents issued by the competent authority as specified in the brochure are to be submitted to the allotted University in the form and manner as specified by the respective universities at the time of admission.
- The photograph and signature of the candidate need not be attested while submitting the Online Application Form.
- All documents/certificates should be uploaded in pdf format only.
Application Fee
Application fees can be paid online only. The CLAT 2023 application fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable.

CLAT 2023 Eligibility
Any candidate who wishes to appear or CLAT 2023 Exam, must meet the following Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit for CLAT : There is no Age-limit to apply for CLAT examination.
- Educational Requirements for CLAT : Candidate must have cleared 12th or equivalent exam from any National or State Education Board. Minimum marks required are 45% for General, OBC & Specially abled candidates. 40% for SC/ST category candidates.

CLAT 2023 Selection Process
The CLAT selection process can be divided into 4 steps.
- Step 1: Registration – this started on 8th August 2022 with opening of Online Application Form. It will end on 13th November, 2022 the last day to fill CLAT registration form.
- Step 2: CLAT Online Exam 2022 – This would happen on 18th December, 2022 in OFFLINE mode
- Step 3: CLAT Result 2022 – This is expected to be released in the last week of January 2022
- Step 4: Counselling for Admission. It will start after the result is announced. It would be based on the Merit list to be released based on the Online exam performance of candidates.

What is CLAT?
As mentioned about CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. It is a National Level entrance exam. It is conducted to grant Under-Graduate & Post-Graduate Course admissions. Latest CLAT Exam pattern
The CLAT Online exam will have 150 MCQs. These Questions would be based on 5 core Areas listed below:
- English language
- Current affairs including general knowledge
- Legal Reasoning
- Logical Reasoning
- Quantitative Techniques
- Quantitative Analysis/Technique Questions would be of 10th Std Level. All other questions would be of 12th Std Level.
- There would be negative marking of 0.25 Marks for each wrong answer.
- The LLM Admission Test would have 120 MCQs. It will not have descriptive section.

CLAT 2023 Exam Day Guidelines
The CLAT consortium has released a notification with the social distancing model to be followed on the day of the exam.
As per the official notification, Candidates will have to follow the following instructions:
- All candidates with temperature > 99.14 will be directed to the isolation lab for taking the examination.
- In case of candidate with scribe, both the candidate and the scribe must bring their own N95 mask
- Candidates will be permitted to carry following items with them into the venue:
- Mask
- Gloves
- Personal transparent water bottle
- Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
- A simple pen
- Exam related documents (Admit Card, ID card, etc.)
- Candidates will be told to switch off their mobile phones, and deposit it at the designated location, to be collected while exiting.
