ICMR NIV Technical Post Recruitment Selection Process 2023

The recruitment process for ICMR NIV in 2023 involves the following steps:

Step 1: Online Computer Based Test (CBT)

• Eligible candidates will participate in an Online Computer Based Test (CBT).
• Information regarding the test will be provided in the Admit Card.

Step 2: Document Verification and Merit List

• After the CBT and document verification (wherever applicable), ICMR-NIV will create a Merit List for each post category.
• The Merit List will be based on the performance of candidates in the CBT and fulfillment of eligibility conditions.

Step 3: Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates applying for the examination must ensure they meet all eligibility conditions.
• Admission at all stages of the examination is provisional and subject to satisfying prescribed eligibility conditions.
• If, at any stage, before or after the CBT, it is found that candidates do not meet eligibility conditions, their candidature will be canceled.

Step 4: No Interview Process

• As per the government’s decision to dispense with interviews for Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ (non-gazetted) posts, there will be no interview for these positions.

Step 5: Cut-off Marks and Next Stage

• Candidates scoring below the cut-off marks set by ICMR-NIV in the CBT will not proceed to the next stage of recruitment.

Step 6: Submission of Supporting Documents

• Shortlisted candidates will submit self-attested copies of supporting documents (Educational Qualification, Experience, Category, Age, etc.) in hard copy, along with the printout of their online application form when called for.

Step 7: Reserved Vacancies

• SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates selected based on merit without relaxed standards will not be adjusted against reserved vacancies.
• They will be accommodated against General/Unreserved vacancies according to their position in the overall Merit List or vacancies earmarked for their category, whichever is advantageous.
• Reserved vacancies will be filled separately from eligible SCs, STs, OBCs, and PwBD candidates lower in merit than the last general candidate on the merit list but otherwise suitable for appointment by relaxed standards.
