TNPSC AAO & AHO 2023 form filling window has been opened for the duration of 1 month from the date 25^th November to 24^th December. Focused candidates can stay updated for the further notifications of exam date, admit card release date, answer key and result date.

Tamil Nadu public Service Commission has activated the link to apply for the said post from 25^th November. The TNPSC AAO & AHO Notification 2023 is now open for applications. Candidates can use the below provided direct link to complete their registration before the last date and avoid the hustle of last minute.

Follow these steps to apply: –

• Go to the official website of TNPSC https://www.tnpsc.gov.in
• Click ‘Apply Online’ from the notification for the AAO & AHO post.
• Select the Post Name and Click ‘Apply Now’.
• Complete the registration process.
• Login to the portal and fill the application form with the required documents.
• Submit the online application on or before 24th December 2023.

TNPSC AAO & AHO Notification 2023: Vacancy Details

The Tamil Nadu PSC has released 263 vacancies for total as of now. The vacancies are for Regular and Carry Forward. 227 vacancies are for Regular and 36 are for Carry Forward vacancies. Vacancy details along with educational qualification for specific posts are given below in the table: –

TNPSC AAO & AHO Notification 2023: Eligibility

Candidates willing to go for the Assistant Agricultural Officer and Assistant Horticultural Officer in Tamil Nadu should first check their eligibility criteria, if they fit in the criteria or not. The officials have given various parameters to be eligible for the post.

Age limit (As on 1^st July 2023)

Age Concession

1. For Persons with Benchmark Disability: – Persons with Benchmark Disability are eligible for age concession up to 10 years over and above the maximum age limit prescribed above.

 2. For Ex-servicemen: – The maximum age limit for Ex-servicemen is 50 years. The above-mentioned age concession will not apply to the Ex-servicemen applicants who have already been recruited to any class or service or category.

Educational Qualification (As on 25^th November 2023)

ASSISTANT AGRICULTURAL OFFICER

• Must have passed in Higher Secondary (+2) Examination.
• Must possess two years Diploma in Agriculture from the Institution recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu or affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University; or Gandhigram Rural Institute, Dindigul District; or Annamalai University or any other institution under the control of the Commissioner of Agriculture.

1. Candidates who have not possessed the two years Diploma in Agriculture are not eligible for the post of Assistant Agricultural Officer even though they possess Higher Qualification.

2. Diploma in Agricultural Technology (3 Years Course) is not the prescribed educational qualification as per the special rule for the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Extension Subordinate Service.

ASSISTANT HORTICULTURAL OFFICER

• Must have passed in Higher Secondary Examination.
• Must have passed in two years Diploma course in Horticulture in the Institutions approved by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University / Gandhigram Rural University / Director of Horticulture and Plantation Crops or Diploma course in Horticulture awarded by the Annamalai University.

1. Degree Holders in Horticulture are not eligible for the post of Assistant Horticultural Officer.  

2. Two Years Diploma in Agriculture and One Year Post Diploma in Commercial Horticulture are not eligible for this post.

KNOWLEDGE IN TAMIL

Applicants should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil on the date of the notification.

CERTIFICATE OF PHYSICAL FITNESS (for both the posts)

Applicants selected for appointment to the said posts will be required to produce a certificate of physical fitness in the form prescribed below. The model format is enclosed with the official notification. The said Certificate should be submitted by the selected candidate to the Appointing Authority at the time of joining to the said post.

TNPSC AAO & AHO Recruitment 2023: Selection Process

TNPSC AAO & AHO Selection Process happens in single stage, based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the CBT examination. A tentative list of eligible candidates for certificate verification is announced on the official website. After verification of the original certificates, the eligible candidates are called for final selection.

1. First, the selection will be made for the carried forward vacancies

2. Secondly, the selection will be made for regular vacancies following the rule of reservation.
