CRPF Women Bike Expedition – Yashaswini

The CRPF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, has initiated a cross-country bike expedition featuring “Yashasvini,” a group of CRPF women bikers. This remarkable group of women CRPF officers commenced their journey from Srinagar, embarking on a nationwide rally to celebrate the strength and power of women, also known as Nari Shakti, in the country.

The flag-off for the rally was conducted by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, at Lal Chowk, Srinagar. The women bikers’ team, starting from Srinagar, will cover a distance of more than 2134 kilometers, crossing 40 districts to reach Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on October 31st. This date marks the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, often referred to as the Iron Man of India.

About CRPF Women Bike Expedition ‘Yashasvini’

A total of 150 women CRPF officers, divided into three teams, have embarked on a cross-country rally today. Riding 75 Royal Enfield (350cc) motorbikes, these teams began their journeys from Srinagar, Shillong, and Kanyakumari. After covering a combined distance of approximately 10,000 kilometers, all the bikers will convene at the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat, on October 31, 2023.

The Srinagar team of bikers is scheduled to reach Jammu by October 7, 2023. Throughout their extensive journey, a collaborative effort between CRPF and the Ministry of Women and Child Development, all three teams from Srinagar, Shillong, and Kanyakumari will engage with various target groups associated with the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (BBBP) program. These groups include school children, college girls, women self-help groups, NCC cadets, children from Child Care Institutions (CCIs), National Youth Volunteers (NYKS) members, adolescent girls and boys, Anganwadi workers, and more, spanning across different districts. The objective is to further bolster the Women and Child Development Ministry’s “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” initiative.

The Yashasvini women’s bike expedition by the Veeranganas of CRPF symbolizes the remarkable resilience and strength of Nari Shakti. It stands as a testament to the sacrifices made by women, their unwavering self-confidence, and their ability to achieve numerous milestones in diverse fields through grit, determination, and dedication. This expedition serves as an inspiring example of women breaking barriers and proving their mettle in various spheres of life.

In addition to promoting the message of “Desh Ke Hum Hain Rakshak”, the women bikers have also integrated the social message of “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” into their campaign. They proudly display the BBBP logo on their uniforms and banners, championing the cause throughout the country.
