OPSC (Odisha Public Service Commission) has announced recruitment notification for Civil Services Positions on the official site. This year OPSC has released a total of 392 vacancies under two groups Group A and Group B. The OPSC Civil Services Group A includes positions for Odisha Administrative Services (OAS), Odisha Police Services (OPS), and Odisha Finance Services (OFS). The OPSC Civil Services Group B includes positions for Odisha Cooperative Services (ARCS / AGCS), Odisha Revenue Services, and Odisha Taxation & Accounts Services. Aspiring candidates can apply online for OPSC civil services through its official website. Online applications will be accepted between 12th January to 22nd February 2021. The aspirants should keep ready the scanned copies of all the mandatory documents for filling the online application form. 

Online Application Process For OPSC Civil Services:

  • The candidates are required to apply online through the Odisha OPSC Online Application Portal.
  • Read all the instructions carefully and register yourself by filling in the appropriate details.
  • Username and Password will be sent to your mail.
  • Log in with your credentials and fill in all the mandatory fields.
  • Upload the scanned copy of all the required documents and attach a recent passport size photograph.
  • Pay the required fees and click on submit button.
  • Now download the form and take out its printout for further use.

OPSC Civil Services Application Fee:

  • Application Fee for the applicants of General and OBC class applying for OPSC Civil Services is Rs.500 which is non-refundable.
  • Applicants of the SC/ST category of Odisha or with 40% permanent disabilities don’t have to pay any fee while filling online application form means they are spared to pay the fee for the exam.
  • The applicants should pay the online applicable exam fees through various suitable modes using Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card etc.

Eligibility Criteria 

Academic Qualifications:

According to OPSC Civil Services guidelines, the candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a Central Government approved university.

It is mandatory for the candidates to read, write and speak the Odia language.

Nationality:

As per OPSC guidelines, all the candidates must be legal citizens of India.

Age Limit:

Candidates appearing for OPSC Civil Services recruitment should satisfy the age limit criteria set by the commission. The minimum age limit for the candidate to appear for OPSC Civil Services is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 32 years. There is upper age limit relaxation to SC, ST, PWD, Women whose description is as below:

Other Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants already in Government Services can appear for the exam only after NOC (No Objection Certificate)from their higher authority.
  •  Applicants are allowed a maximum of 4 times to appear for OPSC Civil Services Exams. Candidates of SC and ST categories are allowed any number of times and SEBC candidates are allowed 7 times to appear for OPSC Civil Services Exam.
